Awarding Civil Engineering All-Stars

On August 9th, 2019, the Metropolitan Los Angeles Branch (MLAB) awarded the top projects and individuals in Civil Engineering for the Los Angeles area. This swanky affair with a buffet dinner and awards ceremony has been a yearly tradition to highlight the best and brightest engineers and projects and this year's event was above and beyond. Our LA YMF chapter came back with 3 individual awards and one group project award.

The awards were as follows:

-Outstanding Younger Civil Engineer: Amit Joshi

-Outstanding Civil Engineer in Community Service: Noe Martinez

-Outstanding Civil Engineer in Service to ASCE YMF: Kevin Woods

-Outstanding Construction Project: Griffith Park South Water Recycling Project, LADWP (Ruwanka Parasinghe)

This amazing event was an honor to attend and we encourage others to attend as well as nominate yourselves and organizations for the great projects and work that is done in our area since it deserves to be rewarded!

The winners of this event went to the LA Section Awards as a nomination from each branch.
