About the Event

Books and Brews will explore the history of Los Angeles and the man that made it possible, William Mulholland. This session's book will be Rivers in the Desert by Margaret Leslie Davis. The book follows the remarkable career and tragic downfall of Mulholland, who transformed Los Angeles by building the Los Angeles Aqueduct.

Keeping with the spirit of Books and Brews, feel free to grab yourself a beer, glass of wine, water, or any other drink of your choosing during the discussion. Join us for a relaxed, but engaging discussion as we work to cultivate a love of reading and learn more about the city we call home.
