ENGINEERS WEEK
Welcome to the Engineers Week Page!
I am so happy that you would like to learn more about this awesome week celebrating the engineer!
I am the Engineers Week Chair for 2021, and I am elated to empower students that are passionate about STEM to pursue their dreams! I would have loved to participate in a week like this as a student, so it gives me great joy to be able to provide Engineers Week events for other students and future engineers!
I hope you enjoy the site, and we cannot wait to hear how you would like to support Engineers Week!

About Engineers Week
The American Society of Civil Engineers Los Angeles Younger Member Forum (ASCE LA YMF), with the support of the Offices of Councilmembers Paul Koretz, (Council District 5), David Ryu (Council District 4), Monica Rodriguez (Council District 6) Herb Wesson (Council District 10), Marqueece Harris-Dawson (Council District 8), and Paul Krekorian (Council District 2), hosted our 6th Annual Engineers Week Celebration held during National Engineers Week from February 18 – 22, 2020! We are very excited to host next year's 2021 Engineers Week!
This unique event features five days in the Los Angeles area dedicated to introducing students of all levels to local branches of government and various fields of engineering. Our goal is to educate students about how their own communities were built upon and created, and inspire them with future possibilities of helping to positively change their built environment! This February 2020, we hosted nearly 700 students for Engineers Week!
See more information and links below for how to get involved and/or support Engineers Week!

Inspire
"...global leadears building a better quality of life."
ASCE LA YMF strives to inspire a diverse group of students to become leaders in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) in order to build a better future!
Engineers Week creates a platform of fun, engaging activities and interesting engineering presentation topics that are able to spark the confidence and imagination of K-12 grade students. STEM is more than books, it's doing! Seeing what you're able to accomplish through design, research, and hard work in order to make a difference in society for the better! No success is ever complete without a failure, and students are able to work through problems in order to better learn how to achieve their solutions! During Engineers Week, there are NO losers, because you can't lose at having fun!
