Community Service

The goal of every Civil Engineer is to have their projects improve communities and the lives of people living in them. The Community Service committee of ASCE LA YMF takes this goal and applies it outside the office by organizing and participating in events that focus on improving a community through trash clean up, tree plantings, outreach to children and the needy and more.

We partner with local non-profits to bring you events such as:

  • Home Construction with Habitat for Humanity
  • Forest Restoration with Tree People
  • Community Cleanups with Angel City Brewery

We also join forces with local schools, food kitchens, and other groups to volunteer in larger community events such as the Vine Street Elementary School Halloween Carnival and the Westside Thanksgiving Community Service Event.

Come out to one of our events, meet some fellow engineers, and enjoy working with your hands to improve your community. For more information or to suggest a community event, please contact us!
